Animal Automated Water Bowl Project

Animal Automated Water Bowl Project

The kit is based on using an Arduino Nano.  The animal watering project uses contactless water level sensors, and a water pump.   LEDs are used to indicate when the power and pump are ON, A non subermersiable pump and contactless water level sensors are used to reduce contamination to the water.

The kit includes a 3D printed shed to house the Arduino and the pump.

The color shown may not be the same as supplied in the kit. Product optionsThe water reservoir is not included in the kit. A recycled gallon or quart container is suggested for the water. Batteries and chargers are included in the kit.

  • All wiring is included in the kit.

  • Assembly and electrical schematic drawings are included in the kit.

  • Soldering is required.

This project kit is for experienced STEM student. The Arduino is programmed to maintain the water level at a preset level.  The pump will automatically shut down when the water level reaches the setpoint.

Note:  A Raspberry Pi may be used for this project however the housing and other hardware may be required. The pump and moisture sensors are compatible with the Raspberry Pi.

Programming

The student can program the vehicle using mBlock or C++ Programming.   Example code for the mBlock will be included in the kit. Endless programming possibilities exist for programming the vehicle.
